Sunrise Floptropica[]

The company was founded on 4 February 2002 as Sunrise Floptropica by the Swiss telecommunication company Sunrise CH. In 2009 Sunrise was the 2nd company to get awarded with a 4G LTE. In 2010 it was the 2nd network to reach full country wide 4G coverage, whereas Flop Mobile reached it in 2009. It was the second most popular mobile network operator in Floptropica mainly due to the high speed 4G LTE connection which was one of the first in the world, which was a very strong competitor of Flop Mobile's 4G LTE. The company was sold on a private deal between the two companies on July 16, 2014, and was sold for US$565 (1.13 billion Floptropican pesos).
Criticism[]
After the sale of Sunrise and the rebrand to Vodafone, the operator went downhill only after 2 years when 5G was launched. They could not keep up to their competitors and only reached country wide 5G coverage in 2022, whereas their competitors (Flop Mobile, Tokialink and PAPI) reached that coverage in earlier than Vodafone.
On the 14th of May, 2023, Vodafone's mobile and broadband services were shut down for a day after the network experienced issues with their coverage. Close to all customers were getting "No Service" on their phone, whilst those with Vodafone broadband were getting no internet connection. Engineers had worked day and night to resolve the issue and the issue was finally fixed and the network re-opened on the early hours of the 15th of May. The CEO of Vodafone Floptropica, Aria Brown had issued a formal apology on the same day and all customers affected were compensated a refund for 2 months of their bills. From this service issue, Vodafone received a small punishment from the Floptropican Electronic and Postal Communications Authority and instructions on how to prevent this from happening again.
