History[]

2007-2024[]

In April 2012, Hong Kong company Hutchison Whampoa had expressed interests to sell Tokialink and exit the Floptropican market fully. This was because the company said that they were having losses since the founding of the company. In November 2012, bidding opened to investors and companies. The starting bid was placed at US$7 million (140 million Floptropican Pesos). After an astonishing 137 bids, Jiafei Products Ltd were announced as the winner of the bidding with their final bid that no one could compete with, a total of US$69 million (13.8 billion Floptropican Pesos). They were given ownership immediately after and because of their successful advertisements all over Floptropica (Potential Error?), they got the 13.8 billion pesos back in just 6 years.

Pricing plans[]

The company did not offer contracts and offer lots of flexibility, which is a major attraction to customers. They are a “Pay As You Go” company, with the option to change it to a monthly rolling plan with auto-renew. They also offered credit at exceptional rates. All Tokialink to Tokialink calls are free.
