Nicki Minaj, (real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty), is a rapper, singer, songwriter. Nicki is known for her musical versatility, animated flow in her rapping, alter egos, and accents. She gained attention in Stan Twitter for her memes and music. As of now, Nicki has released 5 studio albums: Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, The Pinkprint, Queen, and the most recent album, Pink Friday 2.
Although Nicki has many iconic moments and she is used in many Floptok videos, she is not considered an icon by most Flops due to her controversial actions. Nicki had many cities in Floptropica named in honor of her, such as Nickiville and Barbzville. She also had a state dedicated to her, New Barbados. Now, Nicki Minaj is banned in Floptropica and no longer considered as a Floptropican icon because of her connections and ties of Daboyz and her homophobia and transphobia in LGBTQ+ Floptropicans.

Cultural Appropriation & Racism
Nicki is known to make ignorant alter-egos for her rap music, such as "Chun-li", "Red Ruby", "Harajuku Barbie", "Nicki the Ninja", and several others. She also made ignorant lyrics where'd she refer to Asian hairpins as chopsticks and sexual pleasure objects such as:
"I went and copped the chopsticks, put it in my bun just to pop shit"
"I done put two sticks in my bun // So they recognize me when I come"
She also did photoshoots in very stereotypical and thus problematic places such as a Chinese restaurant's kitchen.

"In 2018, Minaj released a song called “Chun-Li,” named after a character in the video game “Street Fighter II.” The song’s music video sexualizes and stereotypes East Asian women and East Asian culture in many ways. The video starts out with a gong sound and shows Minaj and others in racist East Asian garb. Minaj has chopsticks stuck through double hair buns while the men around her wear conical “rice hats” that are often used in anti-Asian imagery. "
"On March 3, Minaj released a new single called “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which she has been promoting on her Instagram with images of herself surrounded by East Asian cultural imagery. The song itself was not as heavy on cultural appropriation as her previous works, but she still included some Chinese references in the lyrics and lyric video. "
Barbz have defended her, saying that it's okay, since Nicki is a quarter Indian. However, Nicki has still yet to issue an apology to the Chinese and the Japanese.

Later on from that, in 2016, Nicki Minaj also gave a 13-year old boy a lap dance. She refused to stop as well when the audience booed her.
Conflicting Political Opinions, LGBTQ+ phobia, and Zionism
Nicki has shown support for the US Republican party multiple times along with showing support for Donald Trump (Eww) and shading Kamala Harris. She has also shown support for Zionism by telling her fans to support Ben Shapiro and stream stream his "music", a far-radical Zionist that supports the IDF, called Palestinians terrorists and thugs, and has celebrated the death toll of Palestinians. Because of this, Nicki is officially banned from Floptropica.
Nicki Minaj appeared as a surprise guest on (far-right MAGA) Erika Kirk's "Turning Point Tour" Aka Grieving Tour, critisizing Gavin Newson for supporting transgender children, reading her old tweets about Gavin Newson, and saying that she wants to see "healthy, normal kids", insinuating that transgendered people are abnormal.
She has also been retweeting MAGA posts and making MAGA posts herself complimentary of Trump and JD Vance. She also praised Trump: “Dear young men, you have amazing role models like our 'handsome', 'dashing' president,” she said, “ And you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president.” Despite the fact that Erika Kirk is "grieving" her misogynistic-racist-sexist husband who was assassinated just 2 months earlier. Minaj also made a remark saying , 'Boys, be boys,' and continued, 'It’s OK. Be boys. There’s nothing wrong with being a boy. How powerful is that?" To many people, especially her fans, what she said came off as transphobic.
On January 20, 2026, Minaj used a homophobic slur against Don Lemon, a journalist who interviewed a priest about why he joined ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Minaj called Lemon a "c*cksucker" and a "thug" in subsequent tweets.
On January 28, 2026, Nicki praised Trump once again at his summit event saying “I am probably the president's number one fan, and that’s not going to change. The hate, or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. […] We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and the smear campaigns — it’s not going to work.”. Further cementing her new role as a MAGA follower and losing even more fans.
Unlikable Behavior
Nicki has had many unnecessary feuds with many other people on Twitter, including but not limited to Cardi B, Remy Ma, Lil' Kim, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Iggy Azalea, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, SZA, Asian Doll, Coi Leray, Both City Girls (JT and Yung Miami), and Taylor Swift. She has also thrown shade and had one-sided beefs with Doja Cat, Beyonce, Cardi B's children (Blossom, Wave, and Kulture), Kylie Jenner's child (Stormi Webster), and Ariana Grande.
She is also known to cut ties and end friendships for no good reason at all. An example would be her unfollowing BIA after BIA said that she will no longer be feuding with Cardi B, and her allegedly threatening to hurt Mariah Carey right after her seemingly "making up" with her during both of their stays on American Idol.
