Merflopia is one of Floptropica's 2 territories, the Merflops in the area protested for more autonomy in early 2024, however, it was only recognized as a territory on the 9th of May 2024. The state is exclusively inhabited by the Merflops of Floptropica, but it is also open to the public during the summer to visit. The territory is notable for containing Poosay Bottom within its borders, a major national park within Floptropica but also home to the highest density of multiple species many containing the native Merflops but also including: dolphins, whales and many species of fish. The islands form the barrier around the O’aki Depression which is a large ditch or hole around 5,000 meters deep and is where most of the Merflops live.
