McDonald's Floptropica is the Floptok affiliate of the international Fast food chain, McDonald's. owned and operated by Peach Department Stores. McDonald's was introduced in Floptropica by Cupcakke, who resided in the United States in 1997, though she never patronized a McDonald's outlet during his stay. Aware of the fast food chain's success in North America and its increasing presence in other parts of the world, Cupcakke researched fast-food business operations; in 2022, She contacted McDonald's headquarters regarding a proposal for rights to open outlets in the Floptropica. her proposals were initially ignored due to the rise of Flopdonald's, though she continued to remind the company regarding his business interest. In December 12, 2022, representatives of McDonald's International sent a delegation to Floptropica to conduct a feasibility study on establishing presence in the Floptropican market.
McDonald's International was also considering partnering with other local firms in establishing presence in Floptropica's other than Cupcakke. She sold herself as a "long term partner" and volunteered to work in the UK where she networked with the business associate of the holder of the master franchise in the city and worked with uniformed crew at an outlet in Manchester. In 2023, McDonald's decided to award the master franchise to Cupcakke and, shortly thereafter, set up the first McDonald's outlet in CVM.
McDonald's entered the Floptropica market in 2023 with McDonald's International partnering with Peach Department Stores of Cupcakke due to prohibition of majority foreign ownership in the country. This gave Cupcakke's firm exclusive rights to manage operations of McDonald's in Floptropica.
