“My name's Emily and I'm five“

Emily Rose Montes is a singer and rapper who, at just five years old, became known for her self-titled debut album Emily Montes, with two tracks from the album — "EmiLy" and "Take me away" — becoming her most well-known songs. She had also found success some time later in 2020 after the release of her second studio album Emily Rose and also the following year after the release of her debut remix album Club Emily in collaboration with DJ Snake 3.

Montes amazes many people with how she managed to influence the music industry and the world as a whole at such a young age with a single album. Emily Rose is beloved by flops, with many of them saying that she was a breath of fresh air in the rap industry during quarantine. She is better than Nicki Minaj and Chance the Rapper.

Background[]

2020[]

Emily began her rapping career in the early 2020 when she started working on her hyperpop influenced debut studio album. On May 27, Emily Montes was released. The album was a success, selling 798,812 copies worldwide in its first week and debuting at number 1 on the Billboard 200 Flop Albums.

The album made a huge cultural impact on the world to the point where it influenced and changed it completely. It also had 2 of its tracks, "EmiLy" and "Take me away", making top 10 entries on the Billboard Flop 100, showing how successful the album actually was.

Following the success of Emily Montes, Emily started working on her second studio album. On July 19, Emily Rose was released. The follow-up to the previous album was a success as well, selling 782,188 copies worldwide in its first week and debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200 Flop Albums.

Montes started becoming more and more famous. However, while she rose to fame, something unexpected happened. Previously, she dissed Nicki Minaj 2 times, the first time in "Give me my crown" and the second time in "#Diss". After Emily dissed her the second time, Nicki went missing, leaving Emily Montes's fans relieved.

Montes began working on her debut remix album with Snake 3. On December 11, she released the single from the album, "Take Me Away (remix)". It was the last release of that year. It is possible that she wanted to release the full album, but wasn't able to.

2021[]

On January 10, she released "Montes 4 Lyfe". The release made fans very happy. On February 22, she released Club Emily. The album did good commercially, peaking at number 1 on the Billboard 200 Flop Albums and Selling 588,917 copies worldwide in its first week.

A few months later, on August 13, Montes released the deluxe version of Emily Rose featuring 8 new tracks, such as "Interlude", "Haters", "BLM", "Dark", "Hungry", "I like to go outside" and "Outro". The deluxe version of the album did good. 7 days later, on August 20, Emily shared 2 song snippets, the first one being "Best Friends" and the second one being "We Got This". The snippets left speculation about the possible third studio album coming in 2022.

2022[]

On May 16, 2 singles such as "Boyz" and "By Myself" were released. The releases garnered positive attention, with fans loving and praising the tracks for their hyperpop influenced sound and their lyrical content. However, it was later revealed that the singles weren't released by Emily, but by hijackers pretending to be her. The fans of Emily were upset with the information. "By Myself" was allegedly a demo of a song that she had been working on, but it was leaked.

Although the truth about the singles not being released by Emily Montes had made her fans unhappy, speculations about the third album continued, however, no release came that year. Though Emily never officially came back since 2021, she established herself as the rap legend and became well-known in the Floptok community.

Activities[]

Montes enjoys playing Roflox and going outside. As an extracurricular activity, she also does classes from 6:00 to 9:00 AM at Floptropica Dance Studio for her fellow 5 year olds. Besides that, she is also a mayor of the city Megamontes in Jiafeia, Floptropica.

Musical style[]

Majority of Emily Montes's music is in the hip-hop genre and features autotune, as well as influences from hyperpop. Lyrically, her music features quite deep and moving tones in her lyricism. Such musical style was the reason Montes gained popularity all around the world and became one of the bestselling artists in the world during the start of the 2020s. With help of her musical style, she became one of the bestselling and the most critically acclaimed rappers in Floptropica after the American rapper CupcakKe, who is considered the bestselling and also the most critically acclaimed artist in Floptropica.

Controversy[]

Newgens hijacking Emily's Spotify.

Unfortunately, Emily Montes has been a long-time target by Newgens for Spotify and Apple Music hijacks. Unofficial features and songs made by Newgens are displayed on Emily's discographies in a pathetic attempt to gain streams and profit off of Montes. These songs have people pretending to be Emily by using a voice pitch filter. It is illegal by Floptropican law to stream this garbage.

These songs and albums that seemingly have Emily's features are often AI slop, Roblox slop, horribly-made hyperpop, or text-to-speech garbage. Most of these albums and songs have adult themes and swearing, which makes it inappropriate to fake an Emily Montes feature.

Due to the incompetence of the platform's moderation systems, these songs remain up.

Aside from false features, the following songs are not made by Emily Montes (Apple Music):

  • Robot
  • Queen Emily / I'm the queen of rap
